Website cookies
Cookies are small text files that the browser stores on the visitor’s device. Among other things, cookies make it possible to retain choices made by the user, such as language selection, as the user moves from one page of the website to another.
The webaula.fi website uses both cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function and visitor analytics cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies ensure the technical functionality of the website and are not used for any other purpose. All traffic on the website always uses a secure connection (https).
The non-essential cookies used on the website are visitor analytics cookies. We hope you will also accept the non-essential cookies, which help us improve the website. The collected data is not used for marketing, and analytics data is not disclosed outside WebAula.
Visitor analytics cookies
If the visitor has accepted the use of cookies, the website’s visitor analytics collects general statistical data on the use of the website, which is used to develop the online service and for quality control. This data includes, for example, the page through which the visitor arrived at the website, the pages loaded, the time of page loads, the web browser and operating system, and the visitor’s internet service provider.
Visitor analytics is not intended to identify individual persons, and IP addresses are not stored in full. However, the visitor’s IP address is used to determine which organization the IP address is registered to and the visitor’s geographic location.
Refusing the use of cookies
The webaula.fi website uses the CookieBot cookie banner. When visiting the website, the visitor can give their consent to the use of non-essential cookies and plugins.
If the visitor does not accept cookies, no non-essential cookies or plugins are installed.
If the visitor has blocked cookies in their browser settings or uses the browser in private mode, the choice made in the cookie banner cannot be saved. If the browser has “Do Not Track” mode enabled, cookie consent is not requested. Instead, cookies strictly necessary for the website to function are accepted automatically, and all other cookies are rejected automatically.
Visitors can delete stored cookies and change their choices at any time in their browser settings.
Links to third-party services
The links and share buttons on our pages that lead to social media services do not transmit any visitor data to these service providers unless the links or share buttons are clicked. Information about the cookies used by social media services is available in each service’s privacy policy.
Technical log data for the website and data traffic
Technical log data is collected on the website’s network connections and use, as required to provide the online service and maintain information security. The log data includes information that may be linkable to a person, such as the IP address and timestamp. This log data is used only to enable the service over the network and to investigate errors and information security incidents.
